Lilly & Callan | Child & Newborn Photography

Newborn sessions typically take quite a long time. The shortest one I've ever done was over in about 45 minutes, when the new baby slept through pose changes and different outfits, obliging a few open eye pictures right at the end. But most take somewhere around the 2-2.5 hour mark... Callan set a new record with a session that lasted almost 3.5 hours! Very wriggly, hungry and happiest in his parent's arms, it was a challenge to get his sweet sleepy newborn shots.. but we did manage in the end, as once he finally crashed he was out for the count! Proud big sister Lilly also joined in for a few shots on her own as well as with her new baby brother. Here are a few of my favourite images from their session!

 

Jacob & Hannah | Child & Baby Photography

I last saw this family towards the end of 2008, when Jacob was only a few months old... now he's a typical toddler, and a big brother to baby Hannah! I had a great time photographing these two and their parents, and had so many great shots from their session that it was hard to whittle them down (hence all the collage images!) - here are the ones that made the cut.

Elaine & Derek, 05.03.2011 | Wedding Photography

I recently joined Elaine and Derek for their wedding in the Admiral's Suite at Enfield Registry Office - Elaine opted out of having 'getting ready' photos, as she knew it would be very busy getting ready with her daughters, so I mainly photographed the ceremony and formals, with a few details afterwards at the reception. Here are a few of my favourites from the afternoon.

Austin & Eilidh - Newborn & Child Photography

This next session was with a family who I have been photographing for lots of important milestones since I first started - Louise and Neil's wedding (before starting this blog!), their first pregnancy, their son's newborn pictures, and now the arrival of their daughter has brought reason for another shoot! Austin is now coming up for 2 years old, and was incredibly sweet and cheeky once he got over his shyness. Two week old baby sister Eilidh (pronounced AY-lee) was very alert for most of her session, so I got a few lovely shots of her big blue eyes as well as some with her big brother, and all the little details too, of course. Here are my picks from the session!

 

 

 

Matthew & Ashleigh | Baby, Child & Family Photography

I recently caught up with Matthew, who I haven't seen since his Christening in 2009, and his family. Now 2½ years old, Matthew is a big brother to baby girl Ashleigh, a pretty little lady full of smiles! As I've been photographing Matthew since he was an infant, it was a real pleasure for me to see this lovely family once again. Here are a few of my favourites from their session!
