Last year was a very tumultuous one for me, both in work and at home. I moved house, got my son started in a new school, and at both ends of 2010 had a number of areas of life (including a lot of ill health) that took priority above all else. I really want to say a huge thank you to those clients who ended up caught up in this period, where you may have had to wait longer for a delivery or found yourself out of touch with me and my staff - so many were beyond understanding and have since rebooked, showing that you really do have faith in me. 2011 marks my third year of business and I've entered it with a growing number of families who trust me to capture their memories time and again, and continue to recommend me on to their friends and family.
With the mayhem of 2010, both myself and those helping me put all efforts of First Glance Photography into delivering sessions, discs and prints, meaning that this blog went neglected of recent shoots. Similarly, the website galleries haven't been updated in some time, which is a project that I aim to complete before my intake of Spring sessions really kicks off! Despite not keeping this up-to-date, I was out and about photographing expectant mothers, newborns, children and their families.
Here are a handful of my favourite images from the last 6 months... by handful I mean about 20!:
Just to leave you, a couple of pictures of my two babies enjoying the snow earlier this year. Jacob is 5 this summer, and has just started reception at his big school, while Isabel is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and will be starting a few sessions a week at pre-school after Easter. Not really babies anymore!
I'll be putting up a blog post soon for my most recent session with a family I've been photographing since my first year in business, and keep an eye out for a spring clean over on the main site!
