Samuel was just over a week old on the day of his session, and in a great mood for most of it, happily accepting cuddles from his proud parents and looking around at everything. He had a bit of a snooze too, on his parents' bed and their colourful sofa, as well as in his Daddy's arms. Here are my favourites from his session!
Ariya was quite awake when I met her, but happy to let me get on with her session and dozed off plenty of times too. I got lots of lovely shots with her parents as well as her by herself, sometimes sleepy and sometimes wide-awake - check out the big brown eyes!
Being at the older end of the newborn spectrum at the time of her session, Emily was a nice mix of contented alertness and sleepiness! She dozed on and off for her whole shoot, allowing some shots with and without her parents (who you might recognise from their recent matenity shoot!) and was a dream to photograph. Meet Mack, the product of this belly! I met Mack for his newborn session when he was just under a week old, and he spent a good part of it being all wide-eyed and alert. After plenty of 'awake' pictures with his parents, he settled down and I managed to get some of him having a snooze. Here's a peek at his newborn session.
At the time of Miranda's session, she was what I call an 'older newborn' - at 4 weeks old, she wasn't going to do the typical curl-up-and-sleep-on-her-tummy poses, but the upside of being nearly a month old is that we got lots of interaction with her family... and my lens! And now a very late blog post for one of the weddings I had the pleasure of photographing this summer! Charlotte and Alasdair were married in a registry office in Lincolnshire, and held their reception in the beautiful gardens of Hall Farm. This wedding was different to the others I'd done so far in more ways than one.. a polka dot wedding gown, shoes with hot pink glittery heels, and a 'best woman', to name a few! I started off with Charlotte, her mother and her sisters getting ready and covered their ceremony (with a very giggly bride!), lots of heartfelt speeches in the marquee and all the detail shots. I saw Marie and her partner a couple of weeks before her little boy was born, and had a nice varied session at her home. Here's a sneek peek at her session - a mix of bump shots, Marie on her own and both expectant parents together! Stay tuned for their baby's newborn shots, to be posted soon!
Felix was an absolute dream to photograph! Gorgeous hair, big bright blue eyes, and such a ham for the camera... just what I like! We started his session indoors, getting some pictures of the little guy with his family, before heading over to a local park for some pictures on the grass, park bench and swings. Here are a handful of shots from his session!
I really enjoyed Sally's maternity session! We had some nice weather, so went outside for some pictures in the garden as well as indoors.. it's always nice to get colour in where possible! After making use of the grass and brick wall, we ventured upstairs for some window shots and poses on the bed, including the little teddy that the parents-to-be bought for their new baby as his/her first present.. and the father-to-be, too! I'm looking forward to seeing them again when the little one arrives... for now, here's a sneek peek at the bump session.
